How can I find a Childminder?

A recommendation from someone who has used a particular childminder is the best way, ask friends, colleagues and neighbours if they know of any.

Some childminders advertise in local shops and post offices or the local clinic and doctor's surgery.

Visit the CIS (Children’s Information Service) website. Here you can find childminders local to your area and find out what services they offer.
Remember though that not all the childminders will have their information on the website so it is best to phone CIS for a full list of childminders in your area, call freephone: 0800 096 0296
