    Default Sensory Bottles

I have collected about 6 nice plastic bottles and thought id fill them with items to make sensory bottles.

So far I have coloured rice.
    Coloured Pasta
    Water with glitter
    coloured Water

Ive hit a brick wall with what else I could fill them with.

    Any ideas please.

Friend of mine puts tissue paper in them so they look like orange juice/blackcurrant juice/washing up liquid.

Children use them in the role play area - not quite what you're after I know but just another thought.

You could use coloured sand or natural materials like leaves/small stones/twigs

get some glycerine from the chemist for the glittery /sequinned ones and they fall down nice and slowly like a snowstorm and yes, glue on the lids!!

Small bells, coloured feathers. One of the children's centres I occasionally go to has a set of sealed tubes (that probably cost a fortune from educational suppliers) tht I'm hoping to replicate somehow. Some have a coloured theme, each one has a variety of small objects in a specific colour. Others just contain lots of identical things (like bells, beads, sequins etc).
Have a look round for natural things...small conkers, beech nuts, dried flowers, sycamore seeds, small pine cones, pieces of bark.

Reminder to self...I MUST GET ROUND TO MAKING MY OWN!!!!

Ok, after finding this thread I searched the shops for the right bottles not too big or small etc.... and I'm ready to go fill them up with lots of exciting things

Hubby thinks I'm going potty and I keep telling people about the idea because I think it is wonderful and so cheap to do. Roll on Tuesday when the mindees arrive

One of the favorites is a bottle with just a little bit of bubble bath in and some gold stars (table confetti).
