Holi also celebrates Holika a Hindu spirit who has two sides to her character, good and evil.

 

To make a Holika Doll you will need:

 

A cardboard tube

  • paper
  • crayons or paint
  • pieces of material (optional)

 

Using the cardboard tube as the body for the doll get the children to decorate and 'dress' the doll.

 

Then get them to draw two different faces on a circle of paper - one good one evil, stick these to the opposite sides of the doll.

 

Using various types of material, paper or paint can make this a nice, fun activity.
