Activities for EYFS Areas of Learning

 

You will need:

 

Crepe Paper

Sticks - optional

If you can buy your crepe paper in one of those flat 'rolls' it makes preparing easier.

Either cut a one inch piece through all the layers from the top of the crepe paper, or alternatively roll approx.. a 3 foot length and cut off the top about one inch in depth.

Once unrolled you will have a long thin streamer of crepe paper.

The children can run around, swish and swirl the paper just like the olympic ribbon dancers do or can hold them up and watch what happens as the wind catches them. Hold Tight!!

The streamers can be attached to short sticks or just held in the hand.

A cheap and easy to make resource, they will break eventually but just make another!
